We seem to have stepped from winter into summer in one week. There was snow on the mountains last week and this week we’re getting sunburnt and could camp out in comfort. All right! I know it is spring, really. Since the leaves came out late the bluebells, wood anemones and wild garlic have had a blast carpeting the woods. We drove out on a birthday treat jaunt for Tim yesterday and the flowers and blossoms were a feast for our eyes.
This evening I took a therapeutic stroll down our track. It’s very rare that all these come into flower at the same time. Last week, Miss Puddleduck collected specimens to press. I was surprised she knew the names of every one.
