2+2= For Today’s School…

…A morning spent reading this:

I am observing certain similarities between certain listeners.   They are impatient to hear of Elizabethan buccaneers, pirates,  privateers, and cimaroons but while listening like to be occupied.  Their choices:

The kitchen is now full of well oiled leather and more drawings add to Rich Tea Boy’s visual journal of all the birds he has seen on our property.

I read on, filling their imagination with fuel to contribute to our Elizabethan topic.

Jelly Roll Morton and other Jazzy colleagues fill the background with sound and Longshanks comments that it’s the wrong era. We should have some harpsichord music as our soundtrack.

I loved this book. Maroon Boy sticks more in my memory, though – the main character had memorised the whole Bible! Good choice of soundtrack, too 😉
