And this,
My observation of another
Who stands behind the lace curtain
Looking out
Looking in, we see you
Just a shadow
Occasionally, the corner lifts
In the light we see your face
An honest presentation
It’s so nice to see
Though frightened to be exposed
The lace returns to its repose
Looks pretty lace from within
And dirty from outside
It distorts the view
You see us through
And disguises you inside
Hiding,
You won’t come out
And socialise
Life passes by
With you looking out and others looking in
Wherever you go you take your lace curtain
But this is certain, fervently destroy
Your lace curtain
Destroy the divider
And life will look very different
Others will see you
And you will see true
No longer a distorted view
All because of the lace curtain
